From Conservapedia

Infotainment is a neologism combining the words information and entertainment. Infotainment is an example of soft journalism, using celebrity gossip, paranormal "investigative journalism", and sensationalism as bona fide news stories.

Notable examples of broadcasters who use infotainment are Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Keith Olbermann, Glenn Beck, Anderson Cooper, Maury Povich, Deborah Norville, and Geraldo Rivera among others.
