Devan is a small village of 1284 hectares in Shahpura Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Devan depends on Shahpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Devan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Devan's pin code is 303103[4], and village code is 01476500. The area of Devan is segregated as 365.09 hectares irrigated area, 367.79 hectares unirrigated, the 194.78 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 96.6 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Devan has One post office (Devan B.O) and Three public telephones. Devan has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Devan is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6657 and has total administration over 1111 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Devan has 1087 children, 591 boys and 496 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 1341 (20.14%) males constitute 700 (10.52%) of the population and females 641 (9.63%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 237 (3.56%) males constitute 123 (1.85%) of the population and females 114 (1.71%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 2554 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1528 male, 1026 female with 2239 (87.67%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1404 males and 835 females. 484 males and 710 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 9 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 315 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shahpura and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
