The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is a state university located in Ewing, New Jersey, near Trenton. Founded in 1855 as the New Jersey State Normal School, this became the ninth teacher training school in the nation, and the first in New Jersey. It is ranked as one of the top 75 schools in the nation.[1]

It has an enrollment of about 5,700 full-time students and 210 part-time students, and a graduate school of 900 students. 93% of its students are from New Jersey, and 95% live on campus. 86% of students graduate in six years.

This college is not to be confused with Rutgers University, which is the larger state university.
