Hokaran is a small village of 1396 hectares in Ajmer Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Hokaran depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Hokaran is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Hokaran's pin code is 305004[4], and village code is 02503300. The area of Hokaran is segregated as 143.18 hectares irrigated area, 36.09 hectares unirrigated, the 261.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 321.03 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Hokaran has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Hokaran has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Hokaran is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2442 and has total administration over 519 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Hokaran has 448 children, 250 boys and 198 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 102 (4.18%) males constitute 59 (2.42%) of the population and females 43 (1.76%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 6 (0.25%) males constitute 3 (0.12%) of the population and females 3 (0.12%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1084 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 669 male, 415 female with 1027 (94.74%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 649 males and 378 females. 204 males and 28 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 183 male and 279 female agricultural labor. 57 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pushkar and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
