Historical And Theological Foundations Of Law

From Conservapedia

Historical and Theological Foundations of Law is a three-volume work by John Eidsmoe which traces and explains the foundations of our modern legal system in the United States, from ancient and biblical times through colonial America.

These books are remarkable for their lack of liberal bias and insightful observations, such as how the classic legal treatise by William Blackstone was more widely read in the colonies than in mother England. Particular significance is attached to the importance of the common law.

This treatise provides the religious backgrounds and beliefs of those who shaped the development of law throughout the history of world, which is information ignored or withheld by most history textbooks.

John Eidsmoe, a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force has authored numerous amicus briefs for the Foundation for Moral Law in high-profile cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts. He holds a third degree black belt in karate.

Nordskog Publishing, based in California, prints this book which is now in its Second Edition (2016).
