East Asia

From Conservapedia

East Asia is a term used to describe the countries China (the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China (Taiwan)), Korea (North and South) and Japan. Eastern Siberia and Mongolia are sometimes also considered to be part of East Asia. Major powers in East Asia include China, Japan, and by proxy of Taiwan, the United States.

The old-fashioned terms 'Far East' and 'The Orient' are sometimes also used to describe this region, though disapproved of by some because it takes a European standpoint.
