Carbon Tax

From Conservapedia

A carbon tax is a form of taxation favored by liberal environmentalists. "The U.S. Energy Information Agency has estimated that a $25 per ton carbon dioxide tax would ultimately reduce the income of a family of four by $1,900, raise its energy bill by $500 a year and increase the cost of gasoline by 50 cents a gallon. The resulting economic slowdown would throw a million Americans out of work."[1]

In Ontario, Canada, a 2018 opinion poll reported that 67.7 percent of those polled think that carbon taxes are "a pointless symbolic gesture that will cost Ontarians a lot of money and do little for the world's climate."[2]
