Boriya is a small village of 227 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Boriya depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Boriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Boriya's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03445900. The area of Boriya is segregated as 32.1 hectares irrigated area, 109 hectares unirrigated, the 47 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 39 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Boriya has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Boriya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Boriya is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 570 and has total administration over 114 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled tribe counts for 3 (0.53%) males constitute 1 (0.18%) of the population and females 2 (0.35%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 380 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 181 male, 199 female with 173 (45.53%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 161 males and 12 females. 156 males and 7 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 207 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
