Nicias

Nicias was a military general for Athens leading armies in battle from 426 B.C. during the Second Peloponnesian War until the Athenian disaster in the war against Syracuse in 413 B.C. After the Athenians were defeated in Syracuse and their army captured, Nicias was executed.
