Hanun

Hanun ( ):

1. Son of Nahash, King of Ammon. Having dishonored David's messengers, Hanun involved the Ammonites in a war with David which proved disastrous to them (II Sam. x. 1-14). 2. One who, with the people of Zanoah, repaired the valley gate in the wall of Jerusalem (Neh. iii. 13). 3. The sixth son of Zalaph, who also assisted in the repairing of the wall ( ib. iii. 30).
