Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act

The Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act (OCILLA) is a section of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act which provides what is known as a "safe harbor". The provision has become known as DMCA 512 because it added section 512 to the DMCA law.

The OCILLA act provides significant legal coverage for websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and others.[1][2][3] If they were repealed, it would lead to an explosion of their legal liability portfolio and might even lead to bankruptcy.
