Koundi is a small village of 544.8 hectares in Koraon Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Koundi depends on Koraon (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply One tank and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,One canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Koundi's pin code is 212104[4], and village code is 05657100. The area of Koundi is segregated as 378.79 hectares irrigated area, remaining 136.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Koundi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Koundi is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2776 and has total administration over 456 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 847 (30.51%) males constitute 449 (16.17%) of the population and females 398 (14.34%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 154 (5.55%) males constitute 91 (3.28%) of the population and females 63 (2.27%).

The workforce is 649 male, 322 female with 668 (68.8%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 499 males and 169 females. 136 males and 38 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 310 male and 111 female agricultural labor. 303 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Koraon (NP) and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
