Oregon State University is a public university located in Corvallis, Oregon.

Oregon State is only one of two U.S. university that is a land-grant college, sea-grant, space-grant and sun-grant institution, and the only public university to do so (Cornell in Ithaca, New York, is the only other with similar designations).[2]

It is supposedly one of the "greenest" universities in the country and heavily promotes the environmentalist agenda with "degrees" such as "ecological engineering" and student-organized green job events.[3] One of its notable instructors is James Cassidy, who is a Senior Instructor of Soil Science & Sustainable/Organic Agriculture, and Faculty Adviser to the OSU Organic Growers Club; he is better known as one of the founding members of the synth-pop band Information Society.[4] [5]

Former Idaho Governor and United States Secretary of the Interior Cecil Andrus graduated from OSU.

In athletics their predominant program is baseball, having won three College World Series titles (2996, 2007, 2018).
