Lakhanpur is a small village of 291 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lakhanpur depends on Dibiyapur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Lakhanpur is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lakhanpur's pin code is 206129[4], and village code is 04148800. The area of Lakhanpur is segregated as 173 hectares irrigated area, 30 hectares unirrigated area. the 50 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 45 hectare area not available for cultivation.
The village is connected with a single bus service. Lakhanpur has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Lakhanpur is a census village in the district of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2512 and has total administration over 489 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 445 (17.71%) males constitute 236 (9.39%) of the population and females 209 (8.32%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dibiyapur (NP) and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
