Sarahi is a small village of 260.8 hectares in Ramsanehighat Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarahi depends on Tikait Nagar (N), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sarahi's pin code is 225415[4], and village code is 05812800. The area of Sarahi is segregated as 80 hectares irrigated area, 24 hectares unirrigated area. the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sarahi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sarahi is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1819 and has total administration over 353 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sarahi has 331 children, 155 boys and 176 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 687 (37.77%) males constitute 350 (19.24%) of the population and females 337 (18.53%).

According to a census 2011 report, 575 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 430 male, 145 female with 501 (87.13%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 420 males and 81 females. 132 males and 12 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 248 male and 62 female agricultural labor. 74 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tikait Nagar (N) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
