Manikpur is a small village of 163 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Manikpur depends on Handia (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Manikpur's pin code is 221502[4], and village code is 05608600. The area of Manikpur is segregated as 60 hectares irrigated area, 65 hectares unirrigated area. the 21 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 17 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Manikpur has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Manikpur is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1531 and has total administration over 336 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 369 (24.10%) males constitute 186 (12.15%) of the population and females 183 (11.95%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Handia (NP) and Allahabad to sell carpet and make their living.
