Abilene:

A village situated northwest of Sepphoris (Neubauer, "Géographie du Talmud," p. 259). According to Grätz ("Gesch. d. Jud." 2d ed., ii. 257), a district of Perea (Lev. R. xvii.; Pesiḳ. Wa-yeḥi, 66 a ).
