Gainesville, Texas

Gainesville is a city in North Texas near the border with Oklahoma.

In April of each year, the city hosts all living recipients of the Medal of Honor with a citywide parade and formal banquet, and houses a Medal of Honor Park featuring the stories of every recipient.

North Central Texas College, the oldest continuously operating community college in Texas, has its main campus in Gainesville.
