Kurana is a small village of 371.5 hectares in Khair Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kurana depends on Jatari (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jatari (NP) and Aligarh to sell jaggery and make their living.
