Mike Davidson, director of Core Issues Trust (CIT), turned away from homosexuality, and now perceives it “as a normal developmental aberration,” and assures “that is how I have experienced it”. With his wife Lynore, they have been married for over 32 years, during which time he claims to have shown a consistency in staying away from homosexuality.[1]
Despite that information is regarded as fundamental human right i.a. by Resolution 1003 (1993) of Parliamentary Assembly of Europe[2] and so is among universal human rights the freedom of speech,[3] Transport for London (TfL) banned the Core Issues Trust's advert "Not Gay! Ex-Gay, Post-Gay and Proud. Get over it!" designed in response to adverts by "gay" activist pressure group Stonewall operating under the fig leaf of "gay charity", which said "Some people are gay. Get over it!". TfL de facto claimed that announcing the existence of Davidson et al. could cause "widespread offence" and would be "a slap in the face, gay rejection". Nevertheless, Proud Ex-Gays and Post-Gays as Davidson, “a Christian man who has experienced homosexual issues but no longer has those feelings” do exist and homolobby in TfL as well as London Mayor Boris Johnson who heads the TfL board (March 2013) and the prime minister who reportedly supported the campaign of "gay" activist group should get over it. The Master of the Rolls Lord Dyson said there was need for examination of the role of the mayor because the email sent on 12 April 2012 "shows that the mayor's office contacted the Guardian (newspaper) immediately, apparently in order to make political capital out of the story" before the 2012 mayoral elections. To secure the "gay" vote, arrangements had also been made for the mayor to appear the following day at a hustings organised by Stonewall. In spite of that, the High Court had upheld the TfL's decision to ban the CIT's adverts in a judicial review. Davidson explained that the reason he lost is because the courts are seeking to protect the idea of being ‘born gay’ despite there is increasing scientific evidence that sexuality is fluid.[4][5][6]
