Kesra is a small village of 315 hectares in Mahwa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kesra depends on Mahwa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kesra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kesra's pin code is 321613[4], and village code is 01366400. The area of Kesra is segregated as 126 hectares irrigated area, 173.72 hectares unirrigated, the 1.78 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 13.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kesra is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1129 and has total administration over 194 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Kesra has 168 children, 97 boys and 71 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 91 (8.06%) males constitute 47 (4.16%) of the population and females 44 (3.90%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 183 (16.21%) males constitute 91 (8.06%) of the population and females 92 (8.15%).

The workforce is 298 male, 92 female with 233 (59.74%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 224 males and 9 females. 202 males and 6 females are considered as the main cultivators. 157 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mahwa and Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
