Uchiya is a small village of 5412 hectares in Gudha Malani Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Uchiya depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Uchiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell ghee and make their living.
