Ranka is a small village of 13 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ranka depends on Handia (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ranka's pin code is 212405[4], and village code is 05608300. The area of Ranka is segregated as 16 hectares irrigated area, 93 hectares unirrigated area. the 13 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 7 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Ranka has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ranka is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 902 and has total administration over 130 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Handia (NP) and Allahabad to sell carpet and make their living.
