Montana 2023

Montana 2023 is its biennial legislative session that runs 90 days from Jan. 2 to May 5.^[1] The Montana legislature convenes only in odd years.

Population is growing in Montana, but in the past has not grown fast enough to have more than 1 congressional seats since 1993. From 1913 to 1993, Montana had two congressional seats.

As of 2023, the congressional seat representing Montana was perhaps the largest populated single congressional district in the United States.
