Hot pot (Simplified: 火锅; Traditional: 火鍋) is a style of Chinese meal, common in Sichuan cuisine. The food is presented raw and cooked at the table in pots of boiling water. The kind of food varies by location; common foods include sliced meat, prawns, tofu, green vegetables, seaweed and mushrooms. The price of hot pot meals varies, but most hot pot restaurants are quite expensive, costing 80元 (about $12) per person or more.

One variant on hot pot is malatang.
