Mahri is a small village of 24 hectares in Sagri Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mahri depends on Mahrajganj (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mahri's pin code is 276406[4], and village code is 08568800. The area of Mahri is segregated as 14 hectares irrigated area, 1 hectares unirrigated area. the 1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Mahri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.
