Julia Child

From Conservapedia

Julia Child was a chef and television star, best known for her show "The French Chef". Child was born in 1912 and died in August 2004.[1] She majored in English at Smith College and graduated in 1934.

In 1946 she married Paul Child and took his last name. She met Paul while in Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) working for the OSS, the intelligence agency that was the predecessor to the CIA.[2] Mr. Child introduced her to the fine cuisine for which she would become famous, and custom-designed the kitchen (now part of the Smithsonian collection) used in her shows (primarily to accommodate her height -- Ms. Child was 6'2" and had joined the OSS only after being turned down for the Women's Army Corps and the Navy WAVES due to being too tall).
