Equal Access

From Conservapedia

Equal access refers to equal access to public school facilities by clubs, even controversial ones.

Bd. of Educ. of the Westside Cmty. Sch. v. Mergens was typical of many school conflicts over clubs. The school involved already had a chess, scuba-diving and a service club. But a group of Christians were not allowed to form an additional extracurricular group. Their club was to involve Bible study, prayer and fellowship. The U.S. Supreme Court issued a clear, 8 to 1 decision in favor of the club. [1]
