Aeroflot – Russian Airlines (Russian: "Аэрофло́т-Росси́йские авиали́нии", romanized Aeroflot-Rossiyskiye avialinii) (IATA:SU ICAO:AFL Callsign: AEROFLOT) is an open joint-stock company as well as the largest airlines and flag carrier of the Russian Federation as well. After the fall of the USSR the airline went from being completely state-owned to 51.17% owned by the Russian government as of 2013.[1] In 2006 Aeroflot joined Skyteam.[2]
