From Handwiki Chui is a company, formed in 2014, that uses facial recognition[1] and machine learning[2] to grant access[3] and predict behaviour. There are 2 main parts to the technology:
Access Control – Chui access control is a hardware as a service, in the sense that the hardware is managed through the software as a service. To go into further details: the hardware is placed at the entrance. When someone approaches the entrance,[4] the device detects and recognises them.[5] If they have been granted access the door opens, if not then it remains closed. The software can be used to add new people as a "member" who has access, or it can remove someone's access[6] to a particular entrance. This can be done at any time from wherever, from the application. The application can also track peak hours and frequency of visits.
Facial Recognition and Spoof Detection Software (API) – The facial recognition[7] technology entails spoof detection. This means that, if someone tries to hold up a picture of someone who has been granted access, on their phone or on a piece of paper, then this will not work as the technology will detect that there has been an attack. The facial recognition technology[8] itself has almost perfect accuracy.[9] This form of spoof detection technology does not exist anywhere else.
Integrations
Its integrations[10] include Lockitron, August lock, Electric strikes, Weigand, Bluetooth, WiFi.[11]
