Nohara is a small village of 609 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nohara depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nohara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nohara's pin code is 313031[4], and village code is 03154100. The area of Nohara is segregated as 10 hectares irrigated area, 105 hectares unirrigated, the 216 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 214 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Nohara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Nohara is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1836 and has total administration over 363 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nohara has 334 children, 171 boys and 163 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 32 (1.74%) males constitute 13 (0.71%) of the population and females 19 (1.03%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1754 (95.53%) males constitute 882 (48.04%) of the population and females 872 (47.49%).

The workforce is 490 male, 139 female with 612 (97.3%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 479 males and 133 females. 116 males and 30 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 50 male and 63 female agricultural labor. 17 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
