Muslim Pro is a mobile Muslim lifestyle application founded by Erwan Mace and was launched on the Apple Store in 2010..[1] Muslim Pro provides accurate timings for the five daily prayers for Muslims globally.
By 2017, Muslim Pro had 45 million downloads. The brand was acquired by Bintang Capital Partners and CMIA Capital Partners.[2]
By 2020, Muslim Pro has registered more than 100 million downloads.[3]
Other than its features like prayer times, direction and a mobile Qur’an; Muslim Pro has a global reach through the use of multiple languages, translations, and a comprehensive list of prayer times from around the world.[4]
In 2009, Muslim Pro was founded in Singapore. The app was first launched on iOS in 2010, followed by Android in 2011. The app reached its first million downloads on 21 November 2011. In 2014, the app reached 10 million downloads.[5] By 2017, Muslim Pro had 45 million downloads.[6] The brand was acquired by Bintang Capital Partners and CMIA Capital Partners.[7]
In May 2021, Muslim Pro collaborated with UNICEF as it launched a crowdfunding effort to raise money for its Children in Yemen.[8]

Prayer times is one of the features that kicked off Muslim Pro. Muslim Pro collects prayer times from thousands of mosques worldwide and updates them regularly. Users can choose the prayer times from their preferred mosque or based on their current location. Azan is played on all the timings of the prayers unless switched off.[10]
Qibla is the direction of Kaaba in Mecca to which Muslims pray towards. It is provided in the app as a compass to direct Muslims to pray in the right direction.[11]
Tasbih is a type of ritual prayer or litany (also known as dhikr) often done after prayers, supplications, and Friday public sermons (khutbah) anytime of the day. It is also a tool that aids in the dhikr often done in sets of 33, 66, and 99. It is offered in the app as a virtual tasbih that behaves similarly to the real ones and users can track their recitation accordingly.[12]
Qur'an is the holy book of Islam. Qur'an in Muslim Pro is offered in a few views (list view, full page view), script styles (Uthmani, Indo-Pak, etc.) and includes tajweed. Users can also listen to recitations of the Qur'an (both online and offline) through the app from a collection of reciters around the world including Mishary Rashid Alafasy.
Muslim Pro also developed the capabilities for text-to-speech translations where users can listen to the Qur'an in all languages which their device supports in text-to-speech.
Halal Places is a feature offered in Muslim Pro for users to find halal places to dine in.
Mosque Locator is a feature offered in Muslim Pro for users to find mosques to pray at.
Makkah LIVE is a feature that live-streams the Kaaba directly from Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca and also Al Masjid An-Nabawi in Madina daily.
The Islamic calendar, also known as Hijri calendar, is widely used by Muslims to determine the important days of rituals such as fasting periods and Hajj. Users can access the calendar in the app and also track their birthdays based on the Islamic calendar.
The Fasting Tracker is used during Ramadan by users to keep track of their fasts in Ramadan[13]
In May 2021, Muslim Pro collaborated with UNICEF as it launched a crowdfunding effort to raise money for its Children in Yemen Appeal campaign in Ramadan 2021. The campaign raised over US$30,000.[14][15]
Muslim Pro collaborated with UNICEF again to support an emergency fundraiser for children affected by the crisis in Afghanistan. By the end of the campaign in December 2021, the initiative had raised over US$115,000.[16]
Muslim Pro also collaborated with UNICEF to donate to Indonesia's Islamic philanthropy organisation Dompet Dhuafa in support of educational needs for children.[17]
In November 2020, the brand was identified as selling its users' data to brokers, contractors, and the United States military.[18] On 17 December 2020, Muslim Pro released an official statement on its website.[19]
As of February 2022, the app has amassed 77.2 million downloads worldwide with an average rating of 4.07 stars, based on 1.7 million reviews to date.[20]
