Allen Drury

From Conservapedia

Allen Drury (1918-1998) was an anti-communist newspaper reporter in the U.S. Senate, who wrote the finest political novel ever: Advise and Consent (1959). It is about the confirmation process for a controversial nominee to become Secretary of State. This novel has it all and is considered one of the greatest American works in all of fiction.

The book enjoyed fabulous success and widespread critical acclaim. It became both a Broadway play and a movie starring Henry Fonda.

However, some liberals gave the book a scathing review because of its conservative message.
