Turn The Page (Song)

From Conservapedia

Turn the Page is a rock song originally recorded by American rock group Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. It was first included on their album Back in '72 but not released as a single, but later his live version of the song from their 1976 album Live Bullet was released, and is now a staple on classic rock stations.

The song is about the physical and emotional toll on musicians as they constantly travel from place to place on tour, and one notable line ("is that a woman or a man", a reference to Seger's long hair) actually came from a real-life comment overheard while on tour.

The song has been covered by numerous musicians. The most popular cover is that from American heavy metal band Metallica, accompanied by a highly-disturbing video featuring a single mother making a living as a sex worker (stripper by day, prostitute by night) accompanied by her daughter (the mother was portrayed by Ginger Lynn, an actual adult film star, who also did a partial interview as part of the video; the daughter's identity is not known except that Lynn does not have a daughter). The video portrays Lynn being beaten by a john; the portrayal caused MTV not to air the video.
