Three or five different styles, and thus different authors or groups of authors, are found in the Book of Genesis.

Language[edit]

Parts of the Book of Genesis may have been written in languages other than Hebrew, although it was entirely translated into Hebrew long ago.

Contrary to misperception, Jesus is not quoted as saying that Moses authored the Book of Genesis.
