Elephant polo is a form of polo played by humans and their elephant steeds. It is primarily played in the Asian nations of Nepal, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, and the Scottish counties of Haddingtonshire and Argyll.

Elephant Polo will be a demonstration sport at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Despite the lack of native Asian elephants in northern Europe, Scotland is the world's leading elephant-polo-playing nation. Scottish teams have won five of the last six elephant polo world championships.[1]
