Rick Scarborough

Rick Scarborough is a conservative Southern Baptist pastor who leads Vision America, a non-partisan group devoted to promoting moral values in politics.^[1] He is based in Texas and is considered to be instrumental in energizing values voters nationwide.

Wikipedia controversy[edit]

In another of many false claims made about conservatives on Wikipedia®, the website alleged that Rick Scarborough claimed HPV was a punishment for sin from God, something he had never in fact said. Wikipedia left this claim up for all to see for most of 2007. However, a Wikipedia editor then located a quote from the prnewswire and restored the item with a footnote.^[2]
