Eakel is a small village of 211 hectares in Sikanderpur Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Eakel depends on Sikanderpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Eakel's pin code is 221711[4], and village code is 09114400. The area of Eakel is segregated as 152 hectares irrigated area, 21 hectares unirrigated area. the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 33 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Eakel has One post office (Ekail B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Eakel has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Eakel is a census village in the district of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2291 and has total administration over 399 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 677 (29.55%) males constitute 390 (17.02%) of the population and females 287 (12.53%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 48 (2.10%) males constitute 22 (0.96%) of the population and females 26 (1.13%).

The workforce is 478 male, 133 female with 412 (67.43%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 330 males and 82 females. 50 males and 4 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 213 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 199 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sikanderpur (NP) and Ballia to sell jaggery and make their living.
