Socialist Workers Party

The Socialist Workers Party is a Communist political party in the United States founded in 1938, which advocates Trotskyism. Trotskyism is a form of Communism associated with Leon Trotsky, in opposition to the form pursued by the Soviet Union under Stalin. The SWP was a member of the Fourth International.

The Workers World Party is a splinter party from the Socialist Workers Party founded in 1959 by followers of Sam Marcy.

Lyndon LaRouche is a former member of the Socialist Workers Party.
