The Allied Military Government for Occupied Territories (or AMGOT, for short) were the temporary governments set up by the Allies in areas they liberated from Nazi occupation in World War II. Among the major nations who participated and made decisions were the United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and to a lesser extent France.
