Helmet

A helmet is a piece of protective clothing that is worn on the head. The helmet's main function is to protect the wearer from damage to the head by falling objects and/or other impacts.

In the military, however, helmets are designed not only to protect the wearer from impact, but also from shrapnel, bullets, and other debris.
