Brow

BROW

brou:

Is found in Isaiah 48:4, "thy brow brass" as the translation of metsch, meaning "to be clear," i.e. conspicuous. In Luke 4:29 "led him unto the brow of the hill" is the rendering of ophras, literally "the eyebrow," but used throughout Greek literature as any prominent point or projection of land (compare use of supercilium in Verg. Georg. i.108).
