From Conservapedia

An attitude is a habitual way of thinking or a mental state. Attitude is very important in terms of performance and meeting performance goals. Our attitude affects our behavior, and our behavior affects our attitude.

The Los Angeles Times reported concerning a study: "A five year study of 120 of the nation's top artists, athletes and scholars has concluded that drive and determination—not great natural talent—led to their extraordinary success." [1]
