Night

From Conservapedia

Night is the portion of a twenty-four hour period when it is dark, as opposed to day when it is light. The darkness is caused by the earth's rotation, turning one side of the earth away from the sun which provides the source of light.

According to the book of Genesis, night was created at the end of the very first day. In other cultures, night has been personified as a goddess, like the Greek Nyx.
