Palestinian child soldiers refers to the Arab-Palestinian training, indoctrination, education of children for terror; using them in the war against Israel.
It began in the late 1960s as baby tigers, by Ahmad Shukairy, Arafat and George Habash, then expanded into Palestinian Lion cubs Ashbal.
In early 1996.
The Palestinians established youth camps, "which are under the model of the Nazi youth organization Hitler Yugend, which provide a well-planned mixture of Ideological indoctrination and military training for thousands of young Palestinians every year."[1]
Modeled on the Nazi youth organization Hitler Jugend, these camps have provided a carefully contrived mixture of ideological indoctrination and military training to thousands of Palestinian youth every year. All camps are named after "martyrs" or spectacular "acts of martyrdom" (i.e., terrorist attacks), and participants are thoroughly imbued with the virtues of death and martyrdom.

At the Intifada, Yassir Arafat made great use of children as tools. Creating Martyrs for the Media. And has "improved" each time. [3][4]
Culminating Arafat’s use and abuse of Palestinian children for decades. The incitement on its official media as well as through Islamic personalities, entities, themes.[5]
It increased in 2002-2005: Palestinian society abuses its children, teaching them to hate and kill themselves to kill others.[6][7] Setting them up in the front line.[8] Using them as human bombs[9][10][11][12] human shields.[13]
On Dec 16, 2018, marking the anniversary of the First Intifada, columnists (Arab-Palestine propagandist/activist) Rashid Hassan writing in the Ad Dustour - a pro-government Jordanian newspaper that was declared as the most influential newspaper in the Arab world in Industry Arabic's latest rankings, he praised young "Palestinian" terror attackers, youths under 16 ready to die as so-called "martyrs."[14]

On Jan 30, 2022, he expressed "doubts" about the Holocaust, yet used it to invert it.[15]
-On Oct 30, 2012, he evoked the fake "Protocols" in his anti-Israel rhetoric and inciting Muslims against Jews as a whole.[16]
Especially since 2010, rampant incitement has been documented.[17] In face of "peace" talk by "moderate" PA: an examination of the Palestinian Authority leaders’ statements, official media, children’s programs and PA-controlled events creates a pessimistic picture: Every condition, principle and expectation set by the US and the Quartet for accepting the Palestinian Authority as a partner in the peace process continues to be violated by the Palestinian Authority in the first month of talks. Contrasting its moderate statements to [their] Western powers in English... Watchdog updates the ongoing.[18]
In recent years, Arafat's legacy [described as "loathsome ideology of Arafat and his successor"] goes on including in PA, yet, the worst is under Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the likes.
Retired general:[19] "The Palestinians' Child Soldiers are their most dangerous threat."
Explaining:Hanging above Israel is a strategic threat that, at the end of the day, is greater than Hamas terror, burning kites, tunnels and rockets, greater even than Iran and Hezbollah. It is the threat of “child soldiers,” a tool the Palestinians have been using successfully since the 1970s to promote anti-Israel propaganda and earn the favor of the West. It is a wicked and cynical modus operandi that works perfectly.
... We are talking about the cruel use of children in a prolonged, cynical, no-holds-barred campaign of psychological warfare. Through it, the Palestinians cause us to doubt the justice of our path, to fight terror with our hands tied, to explain and to apologize to the world and to turn our allies into our adversaries.
The Jerusalem Post reported [9]: 'Hamas used children to help them dig numerous tunnels into Israel and Egypt, a 2012 paper written for the Journal of Palestine Studies reported.
The paper, titled Gaza’s Tunnel Phenomenon: The Unintended Dynamics of Israel’s Siege says that little had been done to stop the phenomenon of child labor during the digging of the tunnels by Hamas in Gaza.
In December 2011, the paper’s author Nicolas Pelham accompanied a police patrol in Gaza and reported that “nothing was done to impede the use of children in the tunnels, where, much as in Victorian coal mines, they are prized for their nimble bodies.”
He continued and said that “at least 160 children have been killed in the tunnels, according to Hamas.'
You wonder what the real number is if Hamas admitted to at least 160.
Hamas is responsible not only for the deaths of the children sent to dig tunnels, but also those who could have been healed and educated if the cement from Israel had been used for schools, clinics and housing rather than to create a subterranean military apparatus. Professor Gerald Steinberg, who heads NGO Monitor (a group that tracks the NGO entities devoted to delegitimizing Israel under the guise of “human rights”), tells Right Turn: “Hamas has been abusing children for years with impunity, with the silent cooperation of ‘watchdogs’ such as Human Rights Watch, UNRWA, Amnesty and many others claiming moral agendas. In addition to sending them to die building Gaza’s terror tunnels, hundreds of Palestinian children are used as human shields to protect deadly missiles, and as suicide bombers in the war machine.” He concludes, “Public documentation of these abuses from Hamas and its accomplices, particularly officials of UNRWA, Defense for Children International, HRW, Al-Mezan, B’Tselem, and Save the Children, as well as their funder-enablers, is essential in restoring the tattered moral principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”
This pattern of human sacrifice (what else should we call it?) is one more reason that there cannot be a cease-fire unless and until Gaza can be demilitarized, its rockets and tunnels destroyed. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, “We have destroyed dozens of tunnels and we will finish the rest with or without a cease-fire.” It is the only morally defensible position one can take under the circumstances. The notion that we could freeze the action and then restore aid and open borders so that more children can be abused, more tunnels fortified and more rockets built is moral and geopolitical idiocy...
In 2020, a coalition of non-governmental organizations began urging the public to help stop the use of Palestinian children as soldiers and war resources by their leaders and terror groups in the region. Calked: Coalition to Save Palestinian Child Soldiers.[21] Stating: An estimated 10,000 children are trained in Gazan terrorist camps each year, and that at least 160 have died digging terror tunnels into Israel.
Adding:While the plight of child soldiers in Africa in particular has received global attention, their Arab counterparts in the Palestinian territories have often been ignored by the international community, as the human cost of using children to carry out terror attacks or as human shields has become overlooked in the political battles raging over the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Yet the children who survive their ordeal often carry the scars of trauma, preventing them not only from having a normal childhood, but also from being able to live fulfilling lives as adults...
For decades, the letter states, Palestinian children "have fulfilled the role of combatants, human shields, rioters, laborers, support staff, and even as suicide bombers – and as a result, their childhoods have been shortened by death, severe injury, or imprisonment."
The global community's unwillingness to address the issue, "has emboldened organizations such as Hamas, Fatah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and PFLP in their exploitation of children as war resources," the letter continues.
A 2016 report found that 240 US-government approved textbooks, used in hundreds of UNRWA-sponsored schools, were teaching Arab children between the first and ninth grades to kill Israelis and martyr themselves. Other reports have reached similar conclusions. Yet despite this, it was not until August 2019 that the UN finally called on Palestinian leaders to act against "racist speech and hate crimes," including incitement to violence against Israelis and Jews.
"These organizations expose them to inciteful and violent children’s shows, and flood social media with calls for jihad and terrorism," the letter reads. "When the children are older, they’re sent out to partake in violent riots and to act as human shields as thousands of others have before them."
It notes that an estimated 10,000 children are trained in Gazan terrorist camps each year, and that at least 160 have died digging terror tunnels into Israel.
The militants controlling Gaza conduct camps for violent jihadism for kid. Hamas, Islamic Jihad mbilizes Gaza’s children for summer military training camps to attract next generation of terrorist operatives.[22]
Hamas has been designated a terrorist group by Israel, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and many other countries. Hamas’ founding goal was to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews there. It continues on this mission today.
Hamas rules Gaza and has a tremendous following among West Bank residents, especially after instigating the recent bloody conflict with Israel and showing off its relative competence compared to the pathetically inept Palestinian Authority.
Furthermore, Hamas continues to recruit and use child soldiers.
According to The Jerusalem Post, more than 30 Palestinian children and teens were enlisted in stabbing attacks against Israelis from 2015-2016, another 30 Palestinian children have been successfully used as suicide bombers (many more unsuccessfully attempted it), and more than 17,000 Palestinian children were recruited into Hamas child militia programs in 2019.
At least one of the children that authorities claimed had been killed during the recent war in Gaza was a Hamas member. The use of child soldiers is always abhorrent and unethical.
In 2021, after Guardian of walls, it called it the Saif Al-Quds ("Sword of Jerusalem").[24][25][26]
In July, 2021, a teen attendee of Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Gaza 'Sword of Jerusalem' summer camp: "Hitler left some of you alive to show us how wicked you are."[27]
Still, in 2022:[28]With the PA feeding Palestinian children a steady diet of child soldier promotion, when the PA launches its terror waves it has a cadre of children ready to be called to action.
If you want to know what is really at the heart of the Palestinian conflict with Israel, don’t ask the politicians or the diplomats. Go to the real experts: Palestinian children. Unlike the rest of the world, they’ve been paying close attention to what their leaders and educators have been teaching them – and they’re already signing their lessons in blood.
A 2022 report per study: Palestinian children learn to murder Jews. In Palestinian Authority schools, textbooks' incitement to violence, terror and anti-Semitism increasing.[29]
In a 2022 report, the Palestinian Authority recruits and trains 100’s of child terrorists.[30]Every summer the PA trains and recruits hundreds of would-be child terrorists.
Shamefully, the UN ignores the child abuse.
But when child terrorists are killed carrying out acts of terror, the UN attacks Israel for defending its citizens.
Similar to the summer camps run by Hamas every year in the Gaza Strip, Fatah, headed by Abu Mazen, held a training camp for boys and children in the PA territories: Ashbal Al-'Asifa, [اشبال العاصفة][31]
Reported, for example in 2022: Fatah and the PLO, which control the Palestinian Authority, makes the time of the younger generation "pleasant" during the summer vacation - they do not send them to the pool or the amusement park - but instead educate them in martyrdom, hatred of Jews and glorification of terrorists "The Palestinian Authority is doing everything in its power to poison another generation of Palestinian children to hate Jews, in order to train the hearts of the young and prepare them to participate in terrorist activities."[32]
In a rare moment of truth, in Oct/2022, the Governor of Nablus said that the mothers of Shahids are 'perverts'. For sending their kids to be killed, glorifying [jihadi] "martyrdom". He infuriated armed men in Nablus when he spoke about the mothers who encourage their sons to commit suicide. The statement drew an angry response from the armed groups.[33][34][35]
Instead of protecting Palestinian children from serial abuse, the UNRWA channels denial of Israel and hatred of Jewish neighbors.
The database exposes how Palestinian NGOs have deceitfully used young combatants to their advantage.... database is intended to provide accurate information about young Palestinians whom Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) misrepresent to allege that Israel has violated children’s rights in order to get the international community to sanction the country..."terror-tied Palestinian NGOs — including Defense for Children International –Palestine (DCI-P), Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR), and Al-Haq — regularly distort the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Palestinian minors in terror incidents. They ignore or minimize the violent attacks perpetrated by the minors that precipitated their deaths and blame Israel for deploying self-defense measures to protect the victims of such attacks.”..
"Palestinian NGOs that claim to promote human rights agendas deny evidence of the recruitment and use of children by Palestinian terror orgs. Our new database of child combatants exposes the terror context ignored by NGOs that demonize Israel"...
Report for UN World Children’s Day: how and why the PA kills its own children (2022):[39]
The PA sends its children to be killed so that it can blame and demonize Israel before the international community. The UN and many governments fall into the PA trap and criticize Israel for killing Palestinian children - even though the PA sent the children to be killed. Were it not for international criticism of Israel, the PA would have no political benefit in killing their own children and Palestinian children’s lives would be saved.
With increasing Hamas, Jihadists sending kids[40] (or "B'tselemkids" - whereas the guilt lies at their parents, teachers and leaders and anti-Israel lobby B'tselem uses to defame) to kill, it has brought attention again, to the indoctrination too.[41] [42]
The indoctrination, hate education,[43] grooming for jihadism, glorification of mass murder remain biggest obstacles for any solution. "The path to peace begins in the classroom."[44] It is the Arab-Palestinians "who continue to educate their children - in textbooks, on television and in mosques - with anti-Semitism, glorification of violence and the duty of holy war. Which makes peace with the next generation difficult as well."[45]
The center of the Begin-Saadat at Bar-Ilan University distributed a document ("Oslo War: Anatomy of self-deception"), with the inflammation of the Palestinian methods: "This approach makes the Oslo process to the only case in diplomatic history in which one of the signed parties on a peace agreement was ahead of advance, in force of its own signature, for wholesale violation of the agreement. There were, of course, many bilateral agreements on one side or both sides did not sign them at the end of the heart. In September 1938, if presenting a prominent example, Adolf Hitler signed an explicit Munich agreement to use it as a "Trojan horse" to demolish Czechoslovakia. Fifty-five years later, Arafat lived this strategy in the Oslo Accord. Ironically, if the Czechs could not do much because of their prominent military landings and before the international community in the West Bank, in Oslo, the strong side was that it was possible to violate the agreement without being punished, and did so to keep a facade of a partnership.
More written in the document: "The Palestinians established youth camps in early 1996, which are under the model of the Nazi youth organization Hitler Yugend, which provide a well-planned mixture of Ideological indoctrination and military training for thousands of young Palestinians every year."
"We plan to eliminate the State of Israel and establish a pure Palestinian state" (Yasser Arafat, 30.1.1996).
[...] Amidst the Oslo Accord, which is perceived as peace vision in the eyes of the left and other emotion, the Arabs continued their routes. While Israeli eyes blinks the fireworks at the White House, Arafat revealed his "peace vision" at a closed meeting In a luxurious lounge in Stockholm: "We will make the lives of the Jews unbearable through psychological warfare and population explosion. Jews will not want to live among the Arabs ... They will give their homes and challenges to the United States. We are planted on everything, including all Jerusalem. Prime Minister Award and the Minister Yossi Beilin had already assured us the half Jerusalem. The Golan Heights also had been delivered, subject to several small details. And when she returns, at least half a million wealthy Jews will leave Israel." "I do not need Jews. They were and remain Jews," Arafat concluded.
…As they grow up, Palestinian children can join various youth organization where they are further brainwashed with racist and anti-Semitic ideology. Increasingly important role in this systematic indoctrination is an extensive network of summer camps, established by the PA following its assumption of control of the Palestinian population of the West Bank in early 1996. In the words of a typical poem recited at the opening of a summer camp and broadcast on the PA's television: We are your boys, O Palestine We will flood you with our blood... No one can stand against us on the battlefield... Let the rifle cry with joy... Fan the flames of fire, O son of Canaan, for your people is rising up.
ISRAELI troops yesterday arrested a boy, 12, who didn't know he had a bomb in his schoolbag.Security officials said the boy, who worked as a porter helping to carry the belongings of Palestinians forbidden to drive through a Nablus checkpoint, was hired to carry baggage by militants linked to Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement. But he did not know the contents of the backpack.
The commander of the army unit that caught the boy said soldiers' suspicions were aroused by the weight of the school bag. When they examined it, they found a bomb, laced with nuts and bolts to increase its killing power.
"It was a pretty serious bomb, between 7kg and 10kg," the officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Guy, said. "It was ready for detonation, apparently with a mobile phone."
Officials said the militants planned to explode it as the boy passed through the checkpoint, but it failed because of a technical fault. The explosion would have killed the boy and nearby soldiers.
Security sources said the boy was freed after several hours' questioning.
Israeli security officials said the army had received intelligence warnings of an attempt to mount an attack from Nablus.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon yesterday ruled out peace talks with Palestinians and began considering ways to retaliate for a weekend double suicide bombing that killed 10 Israelis.
"Israel will have to act according to its own understanding alone," he said, referring to his proposal for a unilateral withdrawal from most or all of Gaza, removal of Jewish settlements, and a realignment in the West Bank that would include evacuating some settlements and imposing a border.
Jordanian Columnist: The Young Palestinians Have Broken The Barrier Of Fear – And Yearn For Martyrdom
In his December 16, 2018 column in Al-Dustour, which marked the anniversary of the First Intifada, Rashid Hassan noted the young ages of the many Palestinians who are willing to sacrifice themselves, and the phenomenon of Palestinian mothers encouraging them to become martyrs. Extolling the vital role of Palestinian women in the First Intifada, he said that the daring and vigor displayed by the Palestinians in recent events leave no room for doubt about their ultimate victory. He wrote: "The most important feature of the intifada of the stones [i.e. the First Intifada] and the intifadas that followed it is the breaking of the barrier of fear. With its epic steadfastness and its insistence on resistance as the only way to survive and live in dignity, the Palestinian people managed to break the barrier of fear... "In this context, we identify two main phenomena: One is the [Palestinian] teens' and young people's eagerness for martyrdom. According to Palestinian statistics, most of the martyrs are young people, and some 40% are under 16. This striking phenomenon was shown in photos in which children stand in the path of the enemy tanks, which became one of the icons of the uprising...
"These children have sent an important and unprecedented message...

Those of us who have sweet memories flooding as one recalls the summer camps one attended as a child will be surprised to hear that registration for a different kind of summer camp has begun in Gaza. Camps where instead of getting a tropical and a bun, the kids get military training.
These terrorist camps show the scale of Hamas' values: "What needs to be emphasized here is that education is the means and activity that a society invests to pass on its values to the next generation. Their highest value is not life, not development, not health and not high-tech but the struggle. Jihad against Israel Through the educational jihad they are now training the manpower for the next war jihad.
In Palestinian Authority schools, textbooks' incitement to violence and terror increasing.
A new study by IMPACT-se examined the new textbooks written by the Palestinian Authority's education department and taught in both Palestinian Authority and UNRWA schools, and found that they contain more extremist material than previous textbooks.
The study, reported by Yediot Aharonot, examined over 10,000 pages of material from the Palestinian Authority's new curriculum, and found a significant rise in the amount of material inciting towards killing Jews, violence, and anti-Semitism.
For the armed men carrying the yellow flags of Fatah and the green flags of Hamas, they have become a regular sight in the Palestinian cities of Judea and Samaria. At every release of a terrorist or burial ceremony, the organizations compete as to who will take responsibility for carrying out the attack or for the "martyr" who carried it out. The youth joined the fight for control of Fatah and Hamas in Judea and Samaria when, similar to the summer camps run by Hamas every year in the Gaza Strip, Fatah, headed by Abu Mazen, held a training camp for boys and children in the PA territories that began with virtuosic fitness training for children, including hoop jumping burning and crawling under obstacles to weapons training, taking over buildings and fighting in a built-up area for the more mature
As part of the activity, residents of Beita, who were reinforced by anarchists and Palestinian government officials, burned tires, lit a fire inscription in the shape of a swastika and threw fireworks at the forces there.
The training camp was called the "Lion Cubs Camp", when the Fatah Twitter account released a video after the end of the camp boasting about educating the children to act against Israel.
"The mountains of fire are fighters in the occupation. The camp of the lions' infidels in Nablus," reads the attached tweet.
In the video you can see the camp instructors dressed in military uniforms with the Fatah movement logo on their hands. Fatah flags alongside PLO flags were scattered among the training facilities, and the heads of the children who crossed the obstacle course were wrapped with a yellow Fatah ribbon
In one of the tweets, one camper in the camp was photographed wearing a military vest and his face with military camouflage. The trainee was chosen to present the camp due to his lineage, the son of "Hamayel Fawaz, son of the town of Beita, who died in an exchange of fire with IDF forces last April".

I sat down several times with the Shabaab in the old city of Nablus for fear of Palestinian bloodshed. The popular resistance should not be at the expense of Palestinian blood."..
In response to the segment of the broadcast that was distributed on Facebook, the governor of Nablus was cursed with curses and accused of treason... The governor referred to the militants as unruly youths who need to be protected: "I fear for their lives, they are not aware of the true value of their blood. The Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas has urged young Palestinians to step up their fight against Israel on the day that one Israeli was killed and another injured in two separate attacks carried out by Palestinian teenagers.
Muhammad Bassel Fathi Zalbani, a 13-year old resident of the Shuafat refugee camp in eastern Jerusalem, was detained by security forces after he stabbed a police officer at the camp’s entrance on Monday night. The wounded officer, named as Asil Suaed, underwent treatment at the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, where he later died.
The attack in Shuafat came just hours after a 17-year-old Israeli male was stabbed in Jerusalem’s Old City by a 14-year-old Palestinian who is also a Shuafat resident. The victim told police he was knifed in the back while walking near Temple Mount and that he managed to flee to the Western Wall after being attacked. He is reported to now be in a stable condition.
Both assailants were apprehended by the police and are now in custody.
In a statement on Monday, Hamas lauded the attacks as “heroic operations” that had been provoked by the Israeli government’s decision on Sunday to legalize nine Jewish settlement outposts in the West Bank.
“Our youth will deal with the occupation’s aggression and the extremist government’s fascism with courage and violence,” Hamas declared.
The terrorist organization has long supported the use of minors in its armed operations against Israeli targets, holding annual summer camps where children under 18 are indoctrinated with anti-Zionist ideology and introduced to guns and other weapons. According to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), a US-based think-tank, Hamas organized more than 500 summer camps last year attended by over 100,000 Palestinian children.
The use of children as combatants by states and armed groups is strictly prohibited under international law.
The UN’s Office for Children and Armed Conflict notes that “human rights law declares 18 as the minimum legal age for recruitment and use of children in hostilities. Recruiting and using children under the age of 15 as soldiers is prohibited under international humanitarian law – treaty and custom – and is defined as a war crime by the International Criminal Court.”
Moreover, a UN protocol introduced in 2000 states that “armed groups distinct from the armed forces of a country should not, under any circumstances, recruit or use in hostilities anyone under 18.”
Monday’s attacks came a day after an Israeli television channel broadcast an interview with two Palestinian teenagers in Jerusalem who expressed their enthusiasm for violence against Israelis.
Asked by a journalist from the Kan network whether they wanted “to study and grow,” one of the youths answered that “we want Hamas and riots.”
“To die like martyrs, that is the most important thing,” the youth continued.
After the youth said that he regretted that more Jews had not been killed during the Jan. 30 gun attack on a synagogue in Jerusalem’s Neve Yaakov neighborhood, in which seven people lost their lives, the reporter asked, “And if I had also been killed?”
After pausing briefly, the youth blew a kiss and said, “Inshallah” — Arabic for “if God wills it.”
Why do so many Palestinian teens (13, 14 and 15 year olds) perpetrate deadly terrorist attacks? Some try to pin the blame for it on Israel, but the truth is that they are taught and brainwashed from very early age to idolize murdering Israelis. Plain and simple.

To name just a few points:
- It is the Palestinians who have been rejecting new peace talks for more than ten years.
- It is the Palestinians who continue to refuse to accept Israel as a Jewish state. This is repeatedly stated by both Fatah and Hamas.
- It is the Palestinians who have repeatedly rejected internationally proposed two-state solutions, as in 1937, 1947, 2000, 2001 and 2020. ..
- It is the Palestinians who continue to educate their children - in textbooks, on television and in mosques - with anti-Semitism, glorification of violence and the duty of holy war. Which makes peace with the next generation difficult as well.
- It is the Palestinians who are repeatedly embarking on the path of violence, with terror and rocket fire.
- As long as the Palestinians do not change this aggressive attitude, a solution to the conflict and thus peace will remain impossible.
