Helen Of Troy

Helen of Troy was the wife of Menelaus, king of Sparta in ancient Greek mythology. She was abducted by Paris and taken back to Troy, the act which precipitated the Trojan War. Owing to the large fleet that the Greeks assembled to attack Troy, Helen is known as "the face that launched a thousand ships" (Christopher Marlowe, Doctor Faustus).
