Theodore Robert Bundy, known as Ted Bundy (1946-1989), was a notorious serial killer and rapist during the 1970s and 1980s. The word "serial murder" was coined in response to his crimes.
Bundy killed his victims, all female, in Washington, Oregon, Utah, and Florida, they were usually between the ages of 16 and 30, although one Kimberly Leach, was 12, and another Ann Marie Burr, whom Bundy murdered when he was 14, was only 8. He would usually brutally bludgeon his victims, then strangle them. He was executed in 1989 by the electric chair for his last murder in Florida, but not before confessing his sins and accepting Jesus Christ. He was interviewed by James Dobson prior to his execution and blamed his criminal tendencies on pornography.
