Xavier University, a private Jesuit institution. It is the oldest Catholic institution in the United States and the fourth-oldest Jesuit university. Xavier University is home to 1,269 graduate students and 4,860 undergraduates. The university has a main campus in Cincinnati, Ohio, and satellite campuses in Columbus and Cleveland that provide the same Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) degree.

Xavier University is a liberal arts college that focuses on its undergraduate students. It offers a liberal arts education in the Jesuit tradition, with an emphasis on service to others, cross-disciplinary study, and the integration of religious, philosophical, and ethical perspectives.

The Xavier Musketeers participate in the Big East Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level.
