The Doom Franchise[edit]

(Officially spelled "DOOM") (ESRB ratings: M and T) is a firt-person shooter video game series that was created in 1993 by Id software. The game has 9 instalments including Doom, Doom II: Hell on Earth, Final Doom, Doom 64,Doom 3, Doom 3: Resurection of Evil, Doom 3: BFG Edition, Doom (2016), and Doom Eternal with numerous DLC's. The games typicaly follow a man known as the Doom Slayer and his eternal quest to eradicate demonic forces from Earth and Mars.

Fame[edit]

The original Doom revolutionized gaming with what where highly inovative Graphics and gameplay for its time. It used a method of visulazition that gave the illusion of 3D that allowed it to provide substantial graphics with demanding much hardware.

After the first two games which can be categorized as the classics, we recived Doom 3. Doom 3 is a considerd a complete outlier of the franchise as it holds little to know ellements of the other games, and has a bizzare and abrupt switch from the series typical action to survival-horror. The modern reboots wich have where created many years after the classics and Doom 3 have rebooted the entire series back into the publics view and are well know for their extremely fast past action and its highly speed and reflex intensive gameplay.
