The Mississippi Administration of Prisons, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Mississippi on November 6, 1990, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended via House Concurrent Resolution No. 99. It would amend Section 225 and repeal Section 223. The amendment proposed that the state create a nonprofit corporation to manage and operate the state prison industries program, which would make use of state prisoners in its operations. The amendment also proposes to remove the provision authorizing the separation of prisoners based on race.[1]
